Photographing Holiday Lights

Here's a link to New York Institute of Photography article on photographing the holidays, "How to Take Great Photos of Holiday Lights":

http://www.nyip.com/ezine/holidays/holidaylights.html

They post this summary (pretty basic, but there is more in the article) -
So, to take great holiday photos in this season of lights, we offer you these four tips:
* Turn off your flash unless you have a very good reason to use it.
* Use a fast ISO - we suggest ISO 800.
* Avoid camera shake.
* Use a tripod...or, at least, brace the camera.

They also suggest the best time to shoot is at twilight.

Have any tips you'd like to share?
