General question to the membership...

Hi everyone -

Wow.  I've become a forum posting fool!   ;)

Obviously, we have a bunch of members of varying degrees of expertise with their given camera of choice. I was wondering if you would be interested in getting together sometime as "brand user" groups to teach, learn, share tips with one another, etc.?  E.g., Olympus users, Nikon, Canon, etc.

Would that interest anyone?

If so, please respond to this post so I can get an idea of the level of interest and then perhaps help to coordinate get-togethers.

I like the idea, Andy. I think it can be a benefit, especially for someone who just bought into a system or upgraded, say like from a D80 to a D300. There would be a learning curve there, just on the functions, bells and whistles, as with any manufacturer, imho.

You mean the buttons are different? Is there an "AUTO" group?  That would be perfect for me. ::) Seriously (and I can be at times), as long as we remember to focus on commonalities of the group as a whole and not splinter into small factions on a regular basis, it would seem to hold some real interesting promise. Keep the ideas coming.

I'm glad that people have responded positively to this idea.  I do not think that this will splinter the whole group rather it will add to the gestalt of the club.
