Yeah it is :) Fortunately my wife's awesome like that. Especially with a kitchen remodel in June and a baby on the way for early December. It was now or not for a very long time... which would have been sad. I almost settled for the D300 but my wife encouraged me to get the one I really wanted instead of settling for the cheaper camera. I'm really glad she did :)

OK Nikon users.  Tell me what your "walking around" lens is.  I have a camera, no lens.  No budget since I am actually getting a zoom in a few weeks (after recovering from buying the camera).  But to have a new toy and no lens is a crime.  Help anyone?
