Amazing shots!  I'm happy the driver wasn't killed.  What a sequence.

In case anyone is looking for a Nikon film camera, I will be selling my F100 body along with its SB-28 Speedlight.  I'll be hanging onto my battle weary, almost-an-antique Nikon FM however.
If anyone is interested or knows of anyone who is interested, contact me on the forums.
Thanks!!

I finally got my Nikon D90.  ;D

I have been saving for a while.  I took it to my favorite place to take pictures.  I always get some nice pictures at the Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Congrats on the new camera!  Have you shot any video with it yet?

No, I was thinking about it today.  I can also make videos with my P&S Canon, but hardly ever remember to use this feature.  I will definitely have to try it tomorrow if I remember.

Help! :'(

I was so excited about checking out my pictures from my new camera only to discover I couldn't view my RAW files.  All I had to do with the pictures from my D50 was download them to Adobe, but it couldn't read the ones from the D90.  I know that I should be able to use Photoshop Elements to read them, so what do I need to do. Do I need to change something or add something?  I have Photoshop Elements 6.  Tony went online and read something that said I should just convert them to digital negative files.  I know that some people were talking about that in an earlier post. Does this do the same thing, or does that change them for post processing?  Does it take longer and how hard is it?  I just want to be able to able to process my pictures.

The only bright side to this is that I shot them in both RAW & JPG.

Photoshop Elements 6 will support the D90's RAW files but you will have to update the Camera Raw to 5.1. You can download that from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4068.

Hope this helps.

I took a Nikon School class years ago in NYC. It was fantastic!!  I still have the handbook that they distributed to all attendees.  It was before the digital storm, though.  I remember that I had my first digital camera and the speakers hardly talked about digital...can you believe that!!

I am a new member of LVPC. I just joined at the last meeting. So I say Hello! Anyhow, back on topic. I started my journey into DSLRs with the Nikon D70s. It was a good first step and has served me well. Then recently with some extra cash and my wife's blessing I just recently upgraded to the Nikon D700 (it seemed like the way to go... all I had to do was add an extra 0) with the AF-S Nikkor 24-70, f2.8 lens. This camera is amazing. I didn't feel that I needed to spend the extra big bucks for the D3, especially where I am with my photography. And after playing with this camera for a bit, I'm certainly not disappointed. The full frame sensor is great and the lack of grain at high ISO is phenomenal. My D70 was sad in comparison. Anywho, I'm hooked on Nikon.    :)
