Lunar Eclipse
« on: February 19, 2008, 01:20:45 pm »
There will be a Lunar Eclipse Wednesday Feb 20th around 10:00PM weather permitting.
Anyone have tips on how to capture this.
I have two of them.  Push button, close your eyes and pray.

I took photos of the last one & I was happy how they turned out, it was so cold though!
They aren't as sharp as I hoped, but it was windy & then I took the camera inside the car & used the dashboard for my "tripod"

I used some info from this website:  http://www.mreclipse.com/LEphoto/LEphoto.html

The below attachment is a composit of the "best" of the photos of the phases as the night went on.

So let me get this right, weather permitting there will be a lunar eclipse and if its lousy weather the earth will stay out of sun's way?.  Just teasing. of course that may not be wise of me considering how often I leave myself open.  But then again stupid is as stupid does.    Thats a reference to myself  and I'm just reminding myself that

I don't think you need to apologize to Anthony... he has a good sense of humor.  I actually thought it was funny.   ;D

But it's not good to pick on your fellow Oly shooters... because Anthony and I both could use an E-3 and/or a 12-60mm.    :P

Oh brother!! at this rate I may lay out more for those 12-60 lenses than Ric is for E-3s.  i thought he had a similar sense of humor as us from the little I know of him, but not knowing him made me feel bad afterwards...  Now if was you..... oh wait i take that back, you'll add a 50-200 next on that bill

You know I just read a few more forum posts and I'm starting to your point Scot. I don't think Anthony will be upset either. it seems dishing it out and taking it are 2 prerequisites to join this club.  Seems almost everyone has that dry, wry, sense of humor.

I like the wisecrack comments.  No harm no foul....besides you shoot with an E-3 so that gets you a free pass.... :D
