Are you differentiating between web site users and active dues paying members? If so, how?

Just curious.

Not at all....

Everyone is paying the same $10.00 fee from now until June 1... As of that date the price for dues which is payable by everyone is:

Single - $30.00
Family (up to 3 in same household) - $45.00 (each additional family member after 3 is $10.00 each)
Student (with ID) - $20.00
Senior (62+) - $20.00

Come June 1st everyone re-pays the dues and that repeats every year on June 1st...

Hope this makes it a bit clearer...

Ric

The most significant difference will be that non-paying members won't have access to voting in the polls or participating in contests online.   As far as other limitations, that will depend on the benefits of the club itself and not being a member.

All paying members will be part of the "Member" group on the forums and gallery.

Are we saying that only dues paying members will have log-in capability, but guests can visit here anytime without posting privileges? That brings up something we haven't talked about (unless I missed it), and that is guests at actual events, both meetings and shoots! That's something we can discuss further. Maybe members can bring a guest to an event one time (per guest, not per member). Guests can come one time by themselves as well? Does any of this make sense? If not, just consider that I felt the need to participate in the website, have the need to type something, anything, and haven't taken my medication yet today.   ::)

Jeff... they will be able to login, they just won't have access to the members only forum group and they won't be able to upload images to the gallery for contests.  It's all based on "permissions" I set on the various membergroups.   I do understand what you are saying though, and I think we certainly need to have some sort of policy on guests because we want them to become members and letting them experience the club is a great way to do that.

Oh, I believe you better re-read the bylaws because it says the Treasurer has to post something insightful and worthwhile on the forums 6 days a week.   ;D

Solely based on the previous post, I hereby submit for cnsideration my resignation as Treasurer, because I cannot possibly be expected to post (not to mention utter) an intelligent or insightful comment more than once a quarter, maximum.

That's what I say to your by-laws!  :P

You'll get the first Treasurer's Report at the next meeting with everyone else. OK, since you ARE the President, I'll make sure you get copy at least 30 minutes before the meeting. Won't be much on it yet, but there will be a report.  8)

As long as there is NO E-3 on the report I am fine with it then...  ;)

If there is no E-3 in the report, then it is an invalid report!

I think that we/Ric decided at one of our early Board Meetings that Guests/Non-Members could come to Meetings or Photo Shoots/Events two times before being asked to formally join the Club as a Member.  Did we put this in the Bylaws or not?
If it isn't in there I think it is a reasonable rule and that we should vote on it and put it in or modify it and put it in.
Comments?
