Does anybody else have any old cameras packratted away somewhere that we could use for a display on a side table at a Club Meeting possibly this Fall?  I read one of the  Forum posts where a Member joked about still having a Sony Mavica Floppy Disk camera.  That would be an awesome display!!  I have cameras dating back to the 1920s and 30s.  If we could get together a group of 20 cameras (with description on index cards) to display on a table, that would be cool for next to the Refreshment Table at a Club Meeting.  We'll even need Kodak Disc cameras and 110s and Instamatics.  Got any old blue Instamatic flashcubes laying around?  LOL!!  Polaroids are soon to become a relic as Polaroid will quit making instant film in 2009.  Hopefully Fuji or another company will keep the instant film crowd happy and continue to produce it.
Please ask your parents if you can dig around in the attic for old cameras and post what you found here.

Thanks---Loretta

I have a real, real old one from the 50's (I think).  I'll have to dig it out.  It used 126 film.  I also have a Nikon Coolpix 950 (the swivel body).  It took GREAT photos (although at 2 mp). - Now camera phones do better than that.  Sounds like a fun display.

No, I just got a nice P&S last week for that so I do not need them anymore.

Yeah guys----It is the PHOTOGRAPHER and not the camera that takes the good photos!!  My Dad was a professional photographer for his whole life and he always said if you can't take a good photo with a Kodak Instamatic, buying a Leica won't help you!!

 ;D

But seriously folks---if anyone has any old cameras they would like to put in a display during one of our meetings, please sign up on this thread.
