Ric,
Sony is really pushing the DSLR market.  I thought they would be like a panasonic, etc.  I think they are going with guns blazing try to compete with Nikon and Canon.  Maybe more so with Nikon.

I think I may be getting the 14.2mp A350... Can't beat the price... But.... What is the price going to be of their new Sony A with 24.6mp ? Maybe I should wait until that comes out this year? Too many cameras coming out at one time from Sony... I don't think people are going to like that at all... 1 out every year or even every 6 months would be fine but how are we to afford a new camera every few weeks??? Gee gotta get all 3... And the wife would love that right?

Which is still better than Canon and Nikon who add a half a megapixel, move a menu button, give it a new model number, and call it a "new" camera while charging a $500 premium for it.

Canon was my second choice because I could of carried over my Compact Flash cards. Nikon was a no from the beginning and don't tell Scott but next would of been Olympus....

With today's equipment, its really a non issue unless you needed the speed of canon's or nikon's high end for sports, etc.

Jeff takes better pictures with a p&s that I could only dream of.
What I do like is that we are playfully taking shots at each others manufacturer of choice, whereas other places I have seen it get ugly.

BTW I offer my equipment on a shoot to anyone who is interested in learning about DSLRs.

Other than lacking a flash, that looks pretty darn complete for my taste. Catchy colors. No focusing to worry about, no troublesome screw on lens, no aperature or speed adjustments to be concerned with. As for focusing, you simply walk closer or further away from your subject and you're done. To top it off, at .01 mexapixels, the supplied media card can hold 12 shots, and there is no battery to worry about because it works on hot air, of which I have plenty to spare. Thanks for finding a shot of my camera to post.  Oh yeah, almost forgot, NO ONE is going to ever try to steal this one. Thank goodness Oly came out with this (they call it the "Updated E-3 NO PRO", so I could replace my Canon p&s, which was far too complicated for me.
