Lockridge/Alburitis Festival May 1st

Lockridge May Festival
Lockridge Park and Furnace
525 Franklin Street, Alburtis, PA 18011
Sunday – May 1 from Noon to 5:00 pm

The Lehigh Valley Photography Club has been invited to attend the Lockridge May Festival.  We have been told that we can set up a table at no cost to publicize our club and also display pictures from the area.  All they ask in return is a 10% donation back to the ABRP if something is sold.  
                  
Set up will begin at 10:00 AM.  
The event coordinator told me that you will receive your location upon arrival.
Prepare for about an 8 foot space.  
You must supply your own tables.  Canopies are welcome.  

Just FYI - this event is held rain or shine.


I know we have a banner and we also used a canopy at Camp Geiger.  If you have these, would you let me know?  I think this is a wonderful opportunity to gain more publicity for the club and have fun at the same time.  If you are interested in participating, please let us know so we know how many photographers plan to attend.  At Camp Geiger we displayed the pictures by hanging them up with clothespins.  If someone has a better idea, let me know.

I have a korean clothing rack ??? that could be set up at a angle that approximately 10 - 15,  8 1/2 inch by 11 inch pictures could be hung on.  I guess you really need to see it to understand what it is....or i could take a photo :P

I think I still have a canopy, 6 to 8 foot table and a few chairs as well.  

All the above will fit easily in my suburban and still have room for my ego :P

I would have to ask my boss (beautiful wife ;D) if she would like to join the festive events; I am sure she will ensure that it will cost me dearly :o

That is wonderful news!  I have a table, but no canopy.  Now, all we have to do is figure out who has the banner.  I think I know already, but  I just have to confirm that I am right.

since I am such a newbe i would need some senior members there to answer some of the questions.  I will look for my canopy tomorrow after the photo shoot.

The LVPC owns its own canopy tent, a nice white Swiss Gear, in my possession. The problem may be the 8'x8' space noted above, as our tent is a 10'x10'. If we could manage to get a 10'x10' space, it would be ideal. I also have the club banner.

I did check with Mary and getting a 10x10 space is no problem.  We just need members to be friendly and answer questions about the club.  We will have flyers with the Club's information, so you won't have to memorize anything.  I also plan to have a list of photo shoots, so people can get an idea of where we go.

Jeff, when I was looking through your Camp Geiger photos I noticed that on the table were plastic holders with the LVPC flyers.  Do you have those as well?  It would be nice to have something to hold up the flyers.  If we don't know what happened to them, I can always get a couple at the Christmas Tree Shops.  Do you also have the clothesline that we used to hang the pictures? Are you planning on attending the May Festival?  If not, will you be able to bring the canopy and banner to the meeting?  If not, we will have to make arrangements to get it before the May Festival.

I am just trying to figure out what we need to make sure we have with us that day.  I know we need clothespins to hang up the pictures, flyers, business cards (if ready) table, couple chairs, canopy.  I think we also need a cooler with cold drinks as it could be hot that day.  If anyone has any other suggestions please add to the list.

I have the tent and the banner, as well as dollar store clothesline and plastic clothespins. The two plastic display holders are mine, but I can supply them as well. I also have a white binder with some info on the Club which we left out on the table. If I'm not coming to next week's meeting (depends on my minor surgery), we can make other arrangements, as I'll be out of town on the 1st.

Someone will need a hammer for the stakes, needed if it's windy at all.

Anyone who is interested in selling pictures at the Festival please put a label on the back with your name and the price.  That way the people manning the display will know how much a picture costs if someone wants to buy it and who the money should be given to if they do. 

I know that LeRoy, Scott, and I will be there. Anyone else who is planning to attend would you please sign up here so we know who is coming.  We need to know when people are attending so that we have someone to man the table between 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.  We can take turns manning the table so that other's can go take pictures.

I printed out ten 8x10's of Lockridge which the Club can have to display (and if any sell, keep the proceeds). Now just have to figure a way to get them there (I can't make the event).

Hi Jeff,

I can't do it tomorrow as I will be at Longwood Garden's with some friends, but Sunday or Monday I can make my way over to Alburtis to take some pictures.  Would you be around?
