2011 Assateague Trip

I've had several people approach me about the recent Assateague trip and ask if I would lead this trip again if another group was interested in going. I would love to!

If you would like to make a trip to Assateague in March or April 2011, please respond here with dates that would work for you!

We could also do September or October if that suits schedules better. Just over the summer is a bad time for me due to work AND it's buggy there at that time of year.

Actually, the fall is looking much better for booking this trip.

What dates in October would be better for those that are interested? I can go any weekend that month. We'll want to look at booking hotel rooms soon for those that want to stay over.

**NOTE: We'll want to stay away from the weekend of the 8-9th...the muscle car cruise is in town. Over 1,800 cars will be cruising the area and makes traffic a nightmare to get through Ocean City.

It will take us about 3 hours to get to the Ocean City area (depending on traffic).

Things I would recommend for the trip:   
A sweatshirt or light jacket. Even if it is warm, the island can get windy.
Chapstick is a must too because of the salt air.
Don't forget bug repellent of some sort.
Good walking/hiking shoes or boots.
