PSA Website Contest Volunteers Needed – Judges
The PSA Website Director is looking for webmasters and qualified judges for next year’s website contest competition.   If you are interested or know of someone that you feel is a qualified website judge, please send the information to Mike Brouphy, PSA Website Director, at mike-psa@bigeasycc.com.   The judges should be knowledgeable of website design and development.  Judging takes place after June 1 and generally before July 15th.
Volunteers Needed To Write Developing and Maintaining Website Tips or Columns
We would like to get some of the webmasters to write a short tip column to help other webmasters.  If you are interested in writing some “how to” tips or columns, please submit your articles  to Mike Brouphy, PSA Website Director at mike-psa@bigeasycc.com.  If you have some questions that you would like answered, please submit your questions.  We can then find someone to write a solution to answer the questions.  These articles could then be published in the Newsletter that is now being sent to Clubs, Chapters and Councils.

This is from the PSA site.

Conditions
of Entry

Any PSA Chapter, Club or Council currently maintaining an Internet Website and signifying its intent to participate in this contest, is eligible, provided their PSA dues are current.

Entry

Chapters, Clubs and Councils must indicate their desire to enter this contest by completing and submitting the entry form prior to the closing date of Saturday, May 31, 2010 but not earlier than March 1, 2010.   To enter go to the Entry Form at the bottom of this page and after copying the questions click on the Email button at the bottom of the page.  This will open your email client addressed to our contest director.  Answer all of the questions and then send your message.

Note that this contest is not for the websites of individuals or personal sites, but only recognized clubs, councils and chapters.  Entrants must include their PSA Club/Council membership number as indicated.

Entry Confirmation

A confirmation of each electronic entry in this contest will be emailed from the PSA Website Contest Director.  If such a confirmation is not received within a few days, the entry was probably not received. In this case, please resubmit the entry.

Judging

Experienced webmasters will judge entries.  The judges will review each entry and rate it for its total presentation, content, layout, good use of space, neatness, choice of typefaces, use of color, ease of use, ease of reading, use of links, and general overall design and style.

Divisions

There will be two divisions: Division (A) – Clubs greater than 50 members and Division (B) – Clubs of 50 members or less.

Awards

The awards will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd award in each Division. Honorable Mentions will be determined by the number of entrants in each Division.  If there are less than 15 entrants in Division B it will be judged along with Division A.  Presentation of these awards will be made during the General Membership meeting at the Charleston International Conference in 2010.

There is no fee for PSA member groups participating in this competition. For additional information contact the PSA IWC Director, Mike Brouphy

I also like the fact they have a child photography contest but that ends in April so no time for that.
