Panoramic Photography Technique
« on: April 09, 2008, 06:40:39 pm »
I am sure some of you have seen my Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market panorama photographic technique. I also participate with the group  World Wide Panorama - where photographers from all over the world collaboratively submit a panorama based on a theme in a non competitive event. This is sponsored by the University of Berkeley and is conducted four times a year on the calender equinox's. Normally about 200 "panographers" contribute to each event.

You can see several of the panoramas I created for the last theme "Beginnings" - on my personal web site - http://www.panoartist.com/360/2008/0406.htm

Or visit my "Beginnings" contribution on the official World Wide Panorama site http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/worldwidepanorama/wwp308/html/RichardWall.html

You can easily browse to any location in the world to see everything the photographer saw. Interesting panoramas include scuba divers exploring a sunken Corsair airplane off the coast of Hawaii.  I haven't gotten through all of them yet!

The people who participate in the World Wide Panorama cover all skill levels - from beginners to pros who shoot panoramas using Bell Helicopters.  There is no cost to contribute and I encourage everyone to participate. Feel free to contact me if you have interest in this photographic technique and learning how to create panoramas. And you can use this photographic technique for partial panoramas - which can be then printed. See my web site Gallery for examples of partial panoramas. The examples shown on my web site in reality are printed 10" x 30" or larger in size and extremely high resolution.
