We are doing this as a joint shoot along with Hillcrest Camera Club of Phillipsburg, NJ on Sunday, May 16th.  We will meet in Centre Square (the Circle) and take pix downtown as well as the bridges along the  Lehigh and Delaware river fronts.
If the weather is good, I think we could also have an Early Bird shoot at dawn because the sunrises are spectacular over the Delaware River.  Latecomers might want to hang out and get a good sunset shot along the Lehigh River.

Here is a link to a walking tour of Easton if you want a sneak preview or to scout out photo ops ahead of time:   www.walkingeaston.com  (Thanks to member Gary W for the link).

We will work out meeting times with Hillcrest Camera Club so stay tuned to this thread for more info as it becomes available.  Times will be posted in this first post always.

Thanks, Alex!  It is one of my favs too.  Lots of eclectic architecture and street scene photos to be taken in Easton.  Buildings date from the 1700s to modern times.

Loretta, I really like your pictures.  I recently moved to the Easton area (Forks) last fall.  I would love to go on this shoot, but I don't think I'll be available that day.  I really must get out on my own and explore.

I spent my first few years of life in Forks and graduated from Lafayette - the Easton area's got a lot of great sights!

Amber---feel free to visit Easton or Allentown anytime during the month of May and add your photos to our Share Your Images thread.  We allow that because we know some people have work and family obligations those days.

There is an online walking tour of Easton with more information than most of us need to know. Link:

Peachhead's old postcard page is interesting as well.  Wink

What time are we meeting on Sunday?

Meeting at the monument at 3rd and Northampton Sts in Centre Square Easton at 9 am.
If you can't find a parking spot on the street there is a parking garage one block south on South Third St.

DOES  ANYBODY  WANT TO MEET TO DO SUNRISE SHOOTING DOWN BY THE RIVERS?

Please reply here or email to:   events@lvphotographyclub.org

According to the following blog entry, the downtown "metered" parking in Easton is free on Sunday. I would double check by reading the info on the meter to be certain.

I plan to attend.  Cool
