just checked the forecast again and it has reverted to rain.  Periods of rain, so there will be periods of no rain.  If we can get some strong light coming through the clouds, we can get some great twinkling raindrop shots.

I would suggest you consider some sort of umbrella system.  I have a canopy but I don't thing there is room to set it up.  If you have a beach umbrella (the kind with the point where you can put it in the sand) this might also work for you.  I will be bringing a golf type umbrella.

For those of you with waterproof cameras or who put their camera in a bag, bring plenty of wipes for your lens.  A drop of water on your lens will throw your focus off.  Or you will need to switch to manual focus.

See you tomorrow morning.  See you lightweights later in the morning   ;D

Most of the important info is kept in the first post.  Always check there first because I update it as we get more info or if there are any changes.

Again-----PLEASE SIGN UP IF YOU ARE GOING!!!

I must give an accurate head count at 9 am Sunday morning to the Trolley owner.

Hi Loretta!  I thought that by clicking onto the "Forum Signup Page" link in your article and then "responding" that would be the sign-up... ???  If it isn't, then I'm confused.  I would like to sign-up for tomorrow's field trip.  Please direct me to the proper place to sign-up.

Thanks,
Ernest

Hi Loretta,

Depending on the weather Tony and I will be going.  If it is raining in the morning, I will be staying home.

Loretta, I won't be able to make the Trolley Ride.  But I'll pay for my reservation if it's already made.  Sorry.  Ernest

I'm definitely a light weight.  I'll be going to the gym in the AM.  Hope you all had a great time!

The first group (the early birds) shot at Hidden Lake.  Although it dripped a little bit, still some good shooting with nice color and great reflections.  And then off to a well deserved breakfast.  I think the waitress thought there was something a little off with us since we were all starving and ate way too much.   Pictures to follow shortly.

Members that were Early Birds at Hidden Lake--Judy Zabrecky, Sandy Gelatt, Stephanie Brooks and friend Karen Adams.
Members that went on the Trolley Ride--Rhonda Pagano and Loretta Killian and spouses.

It really wasn't as cold and rainy as it had been forecasted.  It was overcast for most of the trolley ride but the colors of the leaves were still stunning.  Our tour guide told us a lot about the local history and the Lenni Lenape Indians that were native to the area.  He showed us all around Shawnee and pointed out some celebrity homes and hang outs and then drove us up and down PA 611, pointing out landmarks and special scenery. Near the end of our ride the sun actually came out and started to warm the chill off the air.

After the Trolley ride we went to a large pond called Sun Fish Pond on the hill way up above the town of Delaware Water Gap.  It was right on the Appalachian Trail.  We took some photos there and drove back home along PA 611 and then across Mud Run Road to Bangor Road.  Mud Run Road is just stunning this time of year!!!  It is a MUST SEE in the Lehigh Valley!!

We will be posting our photos to Share Your Images.
