If anyone is interested in downloading some free books in txt and/or pdf format - there are a few legitimate ways to do so. The first is
the Gutenberg Project which has many old, vintage, and non-copyrighted books. Another is
Wowio which has somewhat more recent books and allows you to download up to 3 a day free. You do have to register, which is annoying, but they have a few decent books including a few in the Photography/Arts section.
