Allentown Fair Photographs
« on: September 02, 2009, 09:44:14 am »
A black and white photograph of a bridge taken from a low angle that was entered into judging at the Allentown Fair won the "Best of Show" award for black and white photos.  The photographer was Frank Smith,  If this is the Frank Smith who is a member of the LVPC, congratulations, Frank!  If not, it was an excellent photograph in any case.

Speaking of the Fair, I'm headed there tomorrow morning for my annual pilgrimage. I'll be taking photos and viewing those on display, and I'll be sure to look for Frank's.

Yes, that was OUR Frank Smith!  I saw him last night at First Friday in Bethlehem.  The blue ribbon was his!  Congrats to him.   :D

Thanks for the kind comments. It was a wide angle HDR shot I converted to B&W. I had no idea I had won. As a matter of fact I was somewhat upset at first because I couldn't find the image. Only to find out they had moved it to an area in the center of Ag Hall. Thanks again. Frank

I was wondering why I couldn't find it amongst all the entered photos. Well, I'm not going to go back, but congratulations Frank.

It was located near the entrance with the other Best of Shows winners of various categories of displays.  It was not with the rest of the photographs.

Congratulations Frank!.  Although my accomplishments seem minor next to yours, I did get a second place for a black & white photo at the fair.

I saw it while I was at the fair and it is very nice.  I saw a lot of great photographs this year.
