I've been using Eneloops ever since I got my FL-50 about a year ago.

I refresh your memory!   ;)

And from their website:

Quote
#  Can I use a "Quick Charger" to charge an eneloop battery?
Though it is possible to charge an eneloop battery in a "Quick Charger", it is not recommended. We recommend charging eneloop batteries in a NiMh charger that is 2 hours or more. Charging eneloop batteries in a "Quick Charger" can reduce the overall life of the battery. It is strongly recommended to use eneloop, GE/Sanyo or Sanyo NiMh battery chargers. We only warrant eneloop if used with an eneloop, GE/Sanyo or Sanyo NiMh battery charger.
# Will my eneloop battery charge in any other charger other than the eneloop charger?
It is strongly recommended to use eneloop, GE/Sanyo or Sanyo NiMh battery chargers. Most NiMh rechargeable battery chargers may be used to charge eneloop, however we only warranty eneloop if used with an eneloop, GE/Sanyo or Sanyo NiMh battery charger.
# What is the number of charger/discharge cycles I can expect from the eneloop battery?
eneloop may be charged up to 1,000 times*.
*Estimate based on test results for battery life according to standard JIS C8708 (4.4.) Actual results may vary according to use.

I say the heck with rechargables anymore. I just bought a Quantum QB1+ and the cord for my Flashes... Tired of changing the batteries all the time. This Battery pack will give me up to 1000 Flashes with no problem at full power. I know a guy that has the same Flash system as mine and the same camera and he gets over 1000 with no problem but that is only with the Flash. Not hooked up to the camera. The website says 250 with the camera and Flash but I am not using it on the camera...

Any thoughts??? Other than carrying it at a Wedding for 10 hours and it gets heavy... I already know that, I did that before with my film cameras...

Buddy has it.  nice and heavy, but there is virtually no recycle times.
I think he paid either 600 or 800 for it...he got it at dan's last minute so cost wasn't a concern...

The Tuxedo's smaller/lighter than the Quantum, but will still give a decent number of low recycle time flashes, especially when you're doing TTL and a decent portion of the flashes are not a full power pop. I have a set of Sony 2500 mha rechargeables that are good for maybe 80-100 flashes before recycle times start to annoy, the Tuxedo's good for about 3x that. The Black Box is a boat anchor, but I've seen a guy put a couple of Vivitar 285's on a stand and run portraits all day off the pack.

Just got my QB1+ in the mail yesterday and tried about 100 shots of just anything in the house and it didn't even budge the meter so it seems like it may be good. I just have to get used to the extra cord hanging down by the camera and the weight didn't seem too bad but I didn't have it on very long either...
