Next Meeting
« on: March 24, 2008, 02:53:43 pm »
I see the next meeting is going to be on Photodex's ProShow Producer.  I use Proshow Gold for all of my stuff.  Do you need any speakers?

Can you message Lee Friend (Leelf62)? She is running this and maybe she can use you...

Yes, yes, yes.  Anthony and I have a few shows that we've done that we'll show.  Also, in the Banko Room (where our next meeting will be) we will have access to the internet.  We plan on going to the Photodex site to look at some submitted shows from users.  So, if your shows are on their site, we can take a look at them.  If not, bring a flash drive so we can show them.  We also plan to demo the program to show how easy it is to do a simple show.

Awesome, I'll be there.  Now I'm not officially part of the club, is that ok?  What I would like to do is to have some of you send me pictures and I'll do some work with them and you can see what can be done.  I have a few shows that I have already done and I will also bring as well.  Will the presentations be done on a PC or a Mac?  Just so I know what format to bring them in.

If you would like to send me pictures, please send them to info@memorabledvd.com.

Also, if some of you could send me questions you may have regarding this software so that I can come of with some topics.

As for not being a member.... We welcome all people to our meetings.. As for shows dvd I do not see why you can not bring them Tim.

That works.  I'll make a few new shows and make them .exe files.  If anyone wants to see some work done with their photographs, send them to me ASAP.  That way I have time to work with them.

I look forward to helping all of you!

Thanks, Dave
We all look forward to meeting you on the 17th. It should be fun and informative.  ProShow is a terrific software piece that is reasonable priced.  They also offer excellent support.

Shouldn't ever complain about being a Mac user. The way I undertand it, Mac's not only put the slides in order and put on titles automatically, but that's after they do a complete automatic post-editing for photo corrections. That's not evening mentioning the fact that, when you're at work, the Mac actually leaves the house and goes out on the street and snaps interesting and award winning photos for you, and has them all processed for display and has simultaneously prepared your dinner and cleaned up the house by the time you come through the door. Those machines are simply amazing! So no, you shouldn't complain.  ::) PS..they're pretty as well.

WOW!  You're the second person who's told me about what their Mac does for them.  LOL!  I look forward to talking with all of you.  Hopefully I can bring something to the meeting that you all find informative.

Oh, I'm not complaining about my iMac! I love it and wouldn't use anything else!
I just meant that I have to wait until the meeting to see this program in action.

For slide shows on a Mac, I use iMovie or iDVD (built in programs) or Graphic Converter which
I bought for like $35. (http://www.lemkesoft.com/)

And yes, they are pretty  :D

My friend, who is an art teacher in Bethlehem, did a show in IMovie.  It was excellent!  Her Mac performs quite well.  Hold your head high, TJ  ;)

I just wanted to add that Photodex allows you to upload your videos onto their website for free so you can share them with anyone with internet access.

I use Proshow Gold to make DVD's for family members after a family gathering.  It's so much better to watch boring pictures when you add captions, movement, and music to them.

Here is one example that I had made for some friends of mine if you would like to check it out: http://www.photodex.com/sharing/viewshow.html?fl=2211670&alb=0
(I hope that link works.)

You may have to install the photodex viewer, but it only takes a second.

Once you start the video, make sure you right click on top of it and then select full screen.  Don't forget to turn on your speakers.
