I'm still around. Actually, I was counting the pennies in the treasury to see if I could round up $4,300 for an interesting and talented model for next Thursday's shoot. Geez, I wonder if Andy has connections.  :D

Sorry guys/gals....

My Dell Computer took a dump.... I went today to get a new one... The hard thing now is to set it up... I backed every thing up to my 300gb hard drive but this lousy Vista sucks... whoops... Sorry... Gotta get this working... I am here though

That's an understatement...   Rumor has it Microsoft is pushing the replacement up for release by the end of 2009 instead of 2012 due to all the problems and lackluster box sales of VISTA.   To me, VISTA is just WindowsME all over again... should have been declared a virus at release and detected by your malware software.   ;)

I'm switching to MAC as soon as I get the funds to make the move.

Scott, I'm having a problem uploading a file to the gallery. I've tried 6 times now, and every time it times out. It's not a file size issue 1800kb, so I'm not sure how I can get around it. Any thoughts? Could I e-mail you the file and have you post it for me?

I love vista...my new machine came Tuesday, and after redoing my router, which took an hr, I am up and running...Vista Business Rules!!!

I noticed when you order desktop pc's from Dell (at least some models), that they offer a choice of Vista or Windows XP.  My daughter will be ordering one soon.  I wonder if she would be better off ordering the one with Windows XP.    She is now using Windows XP.  Any thoughts?

I'm still with XP Pro.   At work, I had to quit working with a vendor because they wouldn't sell me a PC without VISTA.   I had to order from Dell.   A vast majority of all our vendors will not support VISTA as of yet.   Hopefully Service Pack 1 fixes alot of issues...  but I'd stick with XP to avoid any problems at this point.   VISTA is a resource hog and you don't gain much other than a spiffy bloated interface.  My .02

I may buy HD and put VISTA on it to test it out (I have removable HD tray in my PC).. but I'm not in a hurry.

I have been using XP and am now stuck with Vista and I would say stick with XP...

I've been using Macs solely for years now. My work still uses PCs for everything but our graphic department.
