Hello everyone. Some of you I have met at the April meeting, a lot of you I have yet to meet. So let me introduce myself.
I started into photography about 8 years ago when I decided to take a class in B&W film photography in college. I had always enjoyed taking pictures and felt it was a good opportunity to learn how to do it better. My parents bought me a Pentax ZX-30 35mm and off I went. I loved it and was hooked. About 3 years ago I got my first DSLR, a Nikon D70s and shortly after that I began taking private classes given by a local photographer. It was a great chance to enhance my skills while getting valuable feedback at the same time. I loved it. Sadly due to job schedule changes I was unable to continue and was forced to stop. I mostly shoot for my own enjoyment, but have on occasion made a few bucks on the side. I've sold one photo so far and I was hired to shoot a small wedding which I felt went really well. Very recently I've upgraded to a Nikon D700 with an AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. Now I'm just looking for more opportunities to learn and grow my skills. This is my outlet and way to express myself. It's my way of attempting to show others how I view the world around me.
I can't sing, I'm not a good writer, and I'm a terrible painter. However I can take a half decent photo now and again

I joined the club to meet others with a similar interest in photography, to share ideas with and learn from those I meet. I look forward to making it to a few shoots and meeting all of you.
Thanks for having me!
Best Regards,
Kenn Miller
