MARCH MEETING
« on: March 04, 2009, 06:47:05 am »
Hello Everyone,

This month's meeting will be primarily focused on prints. I encourage you to bring prints in for display. There are no restrictions but the larger the print the better and matted or framed. We will probably break up into smaller groups to review pictures with a sheet of paper to write down comments about picture. The comment sheet will then go with the owner of the picture for their reference.

Thanks.

Hi Nick,

I just wanted to let you know that I did not forget about making the revised Affirmations/Recommendations Sheet.  I have been busy working on the pictures for my photo documentary class.  Although, I have to admit today I was busily taking pictures at the Philly Flower Show while spending an enjoyable day with some friends.  ;D  I will finish it tomorrow and email it to you.

Also, some information for the membership. I will not be able to attend meetings for a while. I am one of three electricians at my plant. The other two simultaneously are out of work for medical reasons leaving plant coverage to me and one of our supervisors who was an electrician there. I will be working 12 hr. days 6-7 days a week for a few months and my hours will be 8-8, so it makes attending meetings impossible for now.

Any Industrial Electricians looking for work? We may be looking.

Hope to see you in a the later spring or early summer.

Thanks for taking the initiative to reorient the critique meeting. The focus on prints is a welcome change. It should encourage more thoughtful selection of entries. Also, the steps to organize us into small groups is promising. That will hopefully prompt conversations about entries rather than one off comments. I look forward to taking part.

I figured out that the March meeting is on the 19th.  I was looking for the location.  I know it must be here some where but my synapes are not working on the same wavelength as the designer.  Please help.

Hi Bill, I hope you are able to make the meeting. Not sure I'll recognize you though; it's only been about 40 years.  You have truly beautiful photos on Flickr. Hi Nick,

I am trying to attach the critique form.  I have never been able to get the attachments to work correctly, but there is always a first time.  I had an idea that might be helpful.  If we have the form posted on the forum, then the members could fill the top portion out ahead of time and bring a completed form for each submitted print to the meeting.

What does everyone else think about this idea?  I think it would save time because everyone could start looking at the prints instead of filling out the forms when they arrive.  Note:  You would have to wait to put the print number on the form.

Hi Nick,

I forgot to mention that this is just an idea for the form.  It can be adjusted if I forgot something, or if you have suggestions.  I was trying to format it so at least three responses would fit on the front.  I made it so it can be printed on two sides which makes it possible for four more responses.
