1) It's in great shape from what I can tell.  Didn't have much opportunity to play with it last night.
2) I'm married
3) See #2

It's not new and it's not the SWD, it's the original version.   Although the condition is 'like' new as the lens still had the original box, plastic bag, instructions, hood, etc.  Even the bag handle was unopened in sealed plastic bag.  However, I didn't buy it off eBay... our Secretary Mr. Lauro hooked me up through one of his extensive political contacts.   ;)

Is your 12-60mm in the serial number range for the recall?

Yeah, but if I throw my EC-14 on there...   I'm at 560mm with less than an inch added to the length.  ;)

Ric... I want to shoot Eagles with you some time.   I love Eagles.

I could also throw my 1.5x Kenko on mine and make it a 255-750mm or a 382-1125mm in 35mm format.

RH. Eagles are to be here very soon... End of February through end of May. May the Babies are on the ring of the nest, April you get a lot of Parents Feeding the Babies (Egglets) and March you get head shots of Babies and a lot of the Parents protecting them(Diving after other Birds).

Scot:

Yes mine is on recall list and i do have af issues with it.

BTW, any chance of any more of these 50-200 lenses appearing. if so, drop me an email. I'm getting itchy and its either gonna be oly 50-200, oly 70-300, or sigma 135-400

If you have the E-3, then by all means try and splurge for the SWD version of the 50-200mm.  If you want to capture birds, etc. go with the 70-300mm, which is really a rebranded sigma.  It has a long reach but is very slow.  However, if you had to choose between the old 50-200mm and the 70-300mm, go with the 200mm.

I just confused myself with this post.
