Our February meeting will help to answer some questions you may have about different photo processing products and how to use them. It will also highlight problems and solutions encountered on location.

Ralph Lindgren will show a number of examples of what can be done with two pieces of software that he finds very useful. – Helicon Focus — helps cope with the challenge of shallow depth of field and Photomatix which assists with the challenge of low dynamic range. Ralph’s emphasis will be on showing how these programs advance various projects that continue to occupy his attention.

Our second presenter will be Frank Smith who, in October, 2008, went to Kashmir, India with a group led by John Isaac, former UN photographer and Olympus visionary. With a pro available to answer any questions and to problem-solve a difficult shot, Frank was able to learn the tricks that make a great shot fantastic! He’ll be sharing with us some of his work and talk about the tips that he learned directly from Mr. Isaac. Some of Frank’s images will be included in a book on Kashmir to be published by the Maine Photography Workshop.

Join us for an exciting evening at 7PM, Thursday, February 19 in the Banko Room at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem.
